How Fomo invite links work
Every Fomo user has an invite link: fomo.family/r/ followed by their username. The username is the referral code, so fomo.family/r/deal is simply the link for code DEAL. Fomo applies the referrer on the sign-up screen (Fomo: how referral codes work).
The order matters
- Open fomo.family/r/deal on the phone you'll use for Fomo.
- Install Fomo from there, or open it if it's already installed but you have no account yet.
- Create the account with your Apple ID or Google account. If a code box appears, type DEAL.
- On your first normal-size trade, the fee shows 0.45% instead of 0.50%.
Opening the link after the account exists does nothing: Fomo has no place to add a referrer later, and a recorded referrer can't be changed.
Check the address before you tap
A real Fomo invite link starts with fomo.family/r/. Fomo accounts are created with Apple or Google and use no seed phrase, so an "invite" that asks for a seed phrase, your login details or a deposit to a wallet address isn't how Fomo works.
After you join
You get your own invite link too: in Fomo, open your profile and tap the gift icon. That's Fomo's program for you as a referrer; it doesn't change the code you signed up with.
