Signed Up With DEAL? Check These 5 Things
Short answer: the one check that matters is the fee line on your first trade. 0.45% means a referral code is on your account; 0.50% means none is. With DEAL, the cashback then counts from that first trade.
1. The invite was opened first
The code attaches when the account is created, so the invite link has to come first: open fomo.family/r/deal on the same phone, then install Fomo. If you already had an account, the code can't be added to it.
2. The sign-up
Fomo accounts are created with an Apple ID or a Google account. If a referral or invite code box appears during sign-up, type DEAL. If no box appears, the invite link you opened first is how the code gets attached.
3. Your first deposit
USDC works everywhere Fomo is available: on Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad or Ethereum, or USDG on Robinhood Chain (depositing with crypto). Paying in by card, Apple Pay or Pay with Coinbase is only offered in some countries and on some accounts (if card isn't available).
4. The fee line on your first trade
Before you confirm a trade, look at the fee. 0.45%: the referral discount is on. 0.50%: no code was recorded. On networks other than Solana you'll also see a separate network fee; that's normal and isn't affected by any code.
Check on a normal token and a normal-size trade. Small Solana trades (under 190 USDC) show a minimum fee instead of a rate, and major tokens like BTC, ETH and SOL show their own 0.05% fee.
5. The cashback
From that first trade, 12.5% of the Fomo fees you pay adds up as DEAL cashback. It's paid in USDC inside the Fomo app every month, whatever the amount, and every week at the weekend once your unpaid balance reaches 50 USDC. Questions
My first trade shows 0.50%. What now?
That means no referral code is on the account. If you signed up through the invite link and no referrer was recorded, Fomo's help center says to contact support in the app (Profile, then Settings, then Help and Support, then Contact Support) and ask to be attached to the code. There's no field to type a code in afterwards.
Do I need to do anything to get the DEAL cashback?
No. It counts from your first trade and is sent in USDC to your Fomo account. There's nothing to sign up for and no wallet address to send.
Can I sign up on a computer?
Fomo also works on the web at fomo.family, but open the invite link on the device where you create the account, before you create it.
