How to sign up with DEAL
- On the phone you will trade on, open fomo.family/r/deal first.
- Install Fomo and create your account with your Apple ID or Google account.
- If the app asks for a referral or invite code, type DEAL.
- Make your first trade and look at the fee line: 0.45% means the code is on your account.
The code only counts when the account is created; there's no place to add it later. What to check after signing up: your first-trade check.
Why every Fomo code says "10%"
On Fomo, every user's username is also a referral code, and Fomo gives every code the same thing: 10% off trading fees for the new user, and 25% of that user's fees to the code's owner (Fomo: how referral codes work). So codes called "100% off" or "50% off" give 10% too. The only way a code can be worth more is if its owner shares their 25% with you. What does code DEAL give me on Fomo?
Fomo's referral discount of 10% off trading fees (0.45% per trade instead of 0.50%), plus 12.5% of the Fomo fees you pay back in USDC, paid by the DEAL code owner.
Is the cashback paid by Fomo?
No. Fomo's own referral program gives the new user 10% off and nothing else. The cashback is the DEAL code owner passing back half of the 25% referral share Fomo pays them.
Can I add DEAL to a Fomo account I already have?
No. A referral code can only be added when the account is created, and a recorded referrer can't be changed.
Does using DEAL cost me anything?
No. Your fee goes down from 0.50% to 0.45%. The code owner's commission comes out of Fomo's share of the fee, not out of your money.
Do codes with 50% or 100% in the name give more?
No. Every Fomo username works as a code, so the number in a name is just part of the name. Fomo gives every code the same 10% off.
When is the DEAL cashback paid?
Every month, whatever the amount, in USDC inside the Fomo app. Once your unpaid balance reaches 50 USDC it's paid every week instead, at the weekend.
